Top Ten Books about Friendship

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is FREEBIE, which means anything goes. And where did I decide to go? Friendship, one of my favorite topics.

7. Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford — Henry has so many awesome friends in this book: Keiko, Sheldon, and even Mrs. Beatty. This book really shows how fostering relationships with people outside of the home can help so much when someone doesn’t have the support of his family.

8. Summer of My German Soldier by Bette Green — You know what makes a Jewish American girl help a German POW escape during WWII? Friendship.

9. Saving Francesca by Melina Marchetta — “I think I’m a bit in love with these girls. They make me feel giddy. Like I haven’t a care in the world. Like I’m fearless.”

10. Getting over Garrett Delaney — What’s the best way to get over a dumb boy that you call your best friend who keeps breaking your heart? Take direction from a bunch of awesome girls who show you the importance of having awesome lady friends.
