So You Think You Can Dance is my favorite show. Full stop. Even in my least favorite seasons, I find something worthwhile. Plus, I don’t think I’ve ever hated one of the winners. I mean, sure, I had my own ideas of who should have won. But unlike with most competition shows, I don’t think I have once been angry about the winner.
Here is one of my favorite group routines, choreographed by none other than Mary Murphy.
And here is one of my favorite solos.
I love him so much.
For the A to Z challenge, I’m blogging about fannish pursuits (aka things I’m a fan of or have strong feelings about). Tune in tomorrow to see what I picked for T!

I am a huge fan of So You Think You Can Dance! I started watching in Season 9 (Eliana and Chehon’s season) and have been a faithful watcher ever since. I went back and used youtube to become familiar with Seasons 3 and 4 (they’ve become stricter with pulling down SYTYCD videos since then so I don’t know that I’ll ever get through Seasons 5 through 8 that way). Anyway, a solid show with very talented people. I’m curious about the new iteration with the kids. At the very least, I hope that the young age of the dancers will spur some new choreography ideas (the whole lovers’ breaking-up thematic concept had become pretty stale).
I really like this show too, some pretty nifty dancing on there.
