Welp, my very long day just ended with me accidentally sending a text explaining why my daughter is mad at me that was meant for my mother TO MY DAUGHTER, and now my daughter is pissed at me, so I really don’t have the energy for anything else right now.
It would have all been alright probably if I had been a little less snarky in tone, even though I wasn’t making fun of my daughter or angry at her. She was already pissed at me, so it makes sense that her response was…not great. Quotation marks, man. Use them with care.

>so it makes sense that her response was…not great.<
Oh how many times I've I seen this from a text, either from my youngest daughter or wife because I've done something stupid….again! 🙂 After you both get a good night's sleep, you'll be able to talk it through. Or, if your daughter is like mine, you get the cold shoulder for a while until she stop pouting. Either way, you'll get past it! 🙂

Yikes, been there and done that! It might just open up some doors that otherwise would have never have been approached. I hope it all settles well.

I live in quiet fear of doing that very thing. So easy to make a mistake. “It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt!”

I also live in fear of doing this same thing! I try to check and double-check where things are going before I press SEND. Of course, maybe that’s a sign that I shouldn’t be saying those things in the first place!!

I guess there’s always room for us to get better at our “communication.” 😉 Here’s to smoother sailing soon…

Tsk tsk. This is why it’s not good to talk poorly about other people. I hope she accepts your apology and you can both learn from this terrible experience
