And by “here,” I mean in Tampa, scoring AP exams.
Hello! This has been a wild weekend. First of all, I fully participated in a yard sale with friends on Saturday. I did make some money, which turned out to be a very good thing because it rained Saturday (we are in our monsoon season) and that reminded me to check the weather for the AP week. And guess what? It’s supposed to rain, rain, rain all this week, too.
And since I don’t have my car here, I realized that I should probably get some rain boots since I will have to walk everywhere.
Especially since our weather has been pretty much like this for the past week or so:

And this:

And also like this:

So I really needed rain boots is what I’m saying. And I made just enough money at my yard sale to afford some. Yay.
So that was Saturday.
On Sunday, I stood up at church and felt cool air on my back. I reached around and felt naked skin. Did I forget to zip up my dress? I thought, though I knew that couldn’t possibly be the answer since I put it on with the zipper up. No, it was much worse. It turned out that the zipper on my dress broke and my entire back was just hanging out in the wind there, exposed.
The good news is that I always carry a sweater, so I was able to cover up pretty quickly. The bad news is that the zipper on my dress broke. Sigh.
Then I went home, packed, napped and then made my way to Tampa where I managed to run into the one person I know here at dinner so got to sit with her a bit before making my way back to my hotel and going to the gym and finishing:
Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
3.5 stars, really
Jenny Han’s endings kill me. I cannot even deal.
Also, I love that Lara Jean knows that there are people like her out there even if they are over 50 because Pinterest exists. What a delightful beginning.
Oh, oh! My fave part of the cover (besides the fact that it is glorious) is the little pic of Jenny Han with the cover model in the corner. ADORABLE.
And tomorrow I get to wake up at ~7 a.m. for a week of intense grading of high school essays. Maybe that’s why my face started breaking out today. Because of the high school bit, I mean. Whatever, it’s a terrible joke.

Have a great week, everyone!
Thanks for the fun read today. I was once scheduled to do a presentation at my school. I was there early to be prepared. Then someone asked me to turn around. It turned out that I had ripped the seat of my capris wide open. Thankfully I could wrap my jacket around, and my partner was able to drop off a different pair of pants before we got underway.

Oh no! That is awful, but I am glad that your jacket was there and your partner was available. OMG.

Good thing you’re always prepared! The Florida rain part of your post really made me laugh. I can’t imagine what my brain would feel like after scoring AP essays. But I always think it’s interesting to score writing and compare with others and discuss.

It has been tough so far. I’m hoping tomorrow is better. I mean, it is ALL DAY. The plus is no making comments. The minus is ALL DAY.

Always and Forever sounds like a good book. Could you expand on the endings killing you? Are they that good or bad? Sorry, I am unable to tell by the short book review. Thanks!

They’re good! But in the last book and this one, I was not prepared for the amazingness of the endings and the feelings they made me feel. They make my heart clench. (I don’t want to give away spoilers!)

I love your explanation of the weather in Florida with accompanying graphics. 🙂 I hope the rain let up a bit. Lara Jean has been a great character to get to know. I am eager to read this one. Is it the final one?
