Day 16: The song guaranteed to make you dance #BlackMusicMonth #30DayMusicChallenge

I thought I knew the answer to this when the prompt was first posted, but then. Then, one particular song came on more than once in the past week, and I promptly started dancing–even though I was at work functions. I mean, I did the Mindy chair dance, but still.

Did I mention I was at work functions? Both times?

Right, so my first pick for this category then is “Before I Let Go” by Maze featuring Frankie Beverly. It’s an automatic flashback to prom, cabarets, and clubs. Now that I’m older, I can hit my two-step to it with the same gusto I might have done some more complex dancing as a teen/young adult. And it’s always a delight when the DJ turns the music down so the whole crowd can hit that “gooooooooooooooooo” with Frankie in the middle.

My answer before I kept bumping to this song the past week is “Da Butt” by EU. Your girl would request this at any dance or event.

Also, it’s a mainstream go-go song! What’s not to love?
