Okay, I don’t really care about the Zoom platform itself, but I’m sure everyone has been hearing about it since it has been the go-to video chat service, especially for meetings. I personally much prefer FaceTime, but maybe I just don’t have that many friends. Or I prefer a more intimate gathering of friends? I mean, whatever, you all know I just needed something for Z.

Anyway, the point is that video chat has been saving my bacon. I cannot hang out with my peeps in person anymore, so next to phone calls, video calls are the next best thing. In fact, the first two weekends of the pandemic, my two longest running friends and I hung out for a few hours. Yesterday, I had a video call with a colleague, and it was SO NICE to see her face. I am not super into work meetings, but I do have one once a week, and it is nice to, you know, actually see people who don’t live in my house.
I’ve even been able to still participate in my book club, which is ace. And, in fact, I have a book club meeting TOMORROW–via Zoom, of course.
It’s not quite the same as hanging out in person, but it’ll do.
And that’s it! I have officially completed the Blogging from A to Z Challenge for 2020! Thank you so much for going on this journey with me as I found something to write about for each letter about survival/coping strategies while practicing social distancing.
My kids are using zoom for school and I’m like “what new technology did they come out with now”?
