TV! Music! Books!

Ugh, allergies are kicking my butt. But I will not let them keep me from writing this post.

First, I am writing this while I attempt to make waffles on my new waffle maker. I am not off to a good start as I misread the waffle directions because the numbers were blurry. (I though it said 1 1/2 cups for both the mix and the milk, but it said 1 1/3 cup and 1 1/4 cup, respectively.) Does this mean I have to start wearing reading glasses? I think this is definitely a writing on the wall situation.

Day 19: A song that soothes you #BlackMusicMonth #30DayMusicChallenge

About ten or so years ago, when I was having a really hard time, I created a gospel playlist to help me maintain balance. And while some of those songs will make my runners-up list, my main go to when I need soothing these days is “Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley.

J is for Jesus Be a Fence #AtoZChallenge

Okay, I crowdsourced this one on Facebook because I was stumped. I had one idea (jokes) and a suggestion from my daughter (job), but I wasn’t super excited about either one. THEN, my glorious FB peeps came through with a barrage of suggestions that included:

  • Jam, Things That Are Your
  • Joy
  • Jesus

And I was like, omg, I’m going to do Jesus Jams. No, Joyful Jams! And a friend was all “JOYFUL JESUS JAMS” and I was like, “OMG, I totally got it now!”

So, I present to you the gospel song that keeps giving: “Jesus Be a Fence.”
