I’m so glad Elisabeth reminded me of the currently format because all I can think to blog about today are things I’ve blogged about before. So I am currently…
…watching: Right at this moment, I’m watching my daughter watch an anime. But most recently I caught up on the latest episode of Ghosts (US) and last week’s episode of Abbott Elementary. We also started watching The Traitors UK, which is a little disconcerting because the US version uses the exact same set. Last night I was in the mood for Knives Out, but it’s not streaming on Netflix, so I watched Glass Onion instead. I did discover that Knives Out is on Prime, so I’ll probably watch it tonight.
I like to watch (aka have on in the background) cooking competitions while I cook. and there’s a new season of Spring Baking Championship out, so I’m watching that as I make dinner. Also, the TV gods always know when I need one, so I’m very happy a new season of Top Chef just started.
…reading: I just finished Travelers Along the Way by Aminah Mae Safi, which I assigned to my classes. For funsies, I’m reading Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson. I thought it was a Hamlet (or Macbeth?) retelling, but I think I must have mixed it up with another book because it’s not reminding me of either of those plays so far. I’m also reading Viola Davis’s memoir Finding Me with my ears.
…listening: As I said, I’m listening to Finding Me by Viola Davis. I also listened to the end of Travelers Along the Way because I was rushing to finish it at the same time as my students. Because I’m still on a Babyface high, I’ve also been listening to a playlist of his Vegas setlist if I’m in the mood for music while in the car.
…making: A mess, mostly. By which I mean not cleaning up, so. I did have a few meetings this week, so I got some coloring in. That’s about it creativity-ish wise.
Since I wrote the first draft of this post, I started making dinner: white chili, tortellini soup, and salmon. Um, not to all be eaten at the same time. A little batch cooking, if you will.
I’m also trying to figure out if I’m up to making the switch from Goodreads to Storygraph. I am, in general. I just don’t know if I am today. It’s the file exporting that’s giving me pause.
…feeling: Fair to middling and also like a need a nap. Also also, my knee both feels better and doesn’t, so physically I’m also meh. Yesterday, I was completely stiff when I woke up and felt like I could barely walk. I did some yoga yesterday and last night, and so far today has been much better.
…planning: I should be prepping my courses and/or my presentation for the conference I’m presenting at in April. I am not, however, currently planning anything. No, wait, that’s not true. I am also planning to cook some dinner. Or at least I should be since I actually went to the grocery store last night. (And, as I said earlier. I did actually start making dinner since I wrote the first draft of this post!)
…loving: My friends. Truly, they are an excellent bunch of people. Plus also, participating in this challenge. I’m really having a good time with it.

I love this post for so many reasons. One, because I like to hear about what people are into and two, because I may need to do this too. I am running out of ideas. 😉
I hope your knee feels better soon. I did take a nap today because we are facing book fair week and I cannot go into that already tired.
I still have not taken a nap today, which means it’s too late now. I hope book fair week goes off without a hitch. So fun!
I always love a currently post–to write AND to read. I’ve been watching old seasons of The Great British Baking Show during dinner–watching a cooking show while eating food is pretty great.
