Life is happening faster than I can post about it. That’s not a complaint. These are all very good things happening, but they keep stacking on each other and then I’m so exhausted that I just go to sleep. So, again, I’m not thinking about it anymore–I’m just posting when I feel like it.
Very good things that have been happening:
- I went on a Disney Cruise. It was dope. I still have not posted pictures to Facebook.
- I went to see August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom tonight. Also dope. I am behind on posting pictures for all of the plays I’ve been to in the past few months.
- I have an essay in 88 Unashamed Black Mental Health Stories. The collection is–wait for it–dope. This past Saturday, I read my essay along with a bunch of other writers. The event was…well, you know the rest. I don’t remember how many of us read, but I do know that I and a seventeen-year-old (!) contributor plus the photograph were the only non-poets there. Some of my friends went, and we had dinner, and then attended a games night. LONG DAY. (But dope! You knew it was coming.) You can buy the book wherever you buy books!
- School started. My classes still are not fully prepped out, which I do not like. But it’s a good group so far. They all seem really engaged, and two people already said they like our class. I have two much older returning students in my comp class, and they are so adorable. I could have been nicer to my creative writing class today, but it’s too late now.
- Tomorrow, I’m supposed to be going to a Ted Lasso watch party. The party starts with episode three of the new season. I have not yet watched the first two episodes of the season.
- I am taking a sewing class.
- This week, my schedule has been bananas. I have had something to do directly after work each day (see above re: sewing class and play). It calms down next week. (Except for the sewing class.)

And now I’m falling asleep. (Hello, it’s the next day! I officially fell asleep while typing that post. EXHAUSTED. It’s 8:38 a.m., and I already need a nap.) (Plus also, I have a catch up post that I hand wrote on my Kindle Scribe–I have a Scribe now! Her name is Bartleby, of course–but I haven’t had time to convert it to text I can post.) (I feel like Jessie Spano in Saved By the Bell. Don’t worry. I haven’t started taking speed.)
