MON. | Dec. 23 – #AMonthofFaves Blog Posts This Year – Tell us how you blogged – most popular (and/or favorite) blog posts for the year, or each month, did you try anything new on your blog this year, did you make blogging goals – how did you do? What are the essential programs, apps, plugins, websites you use? What’s your blogging routine, any blogs on blogging that you follow, blog tips you learned and used this year.

Here’s a fun thing I discovered while going through my blog stats for the year:

blog stats 2008-2019

This is my least productive blog year ever since starting my blog. 2008 doesn’t count because those are posts from my old Blogspot blog that I copied over, and 2009 barely counts because I didn’t blog the entire year. In fact, I made my first blog post in August of 2009. So even with the four remaining Month of Faves post scheduled for the rest of this month, I still won’t be close to hitting my 2014 numbers this year. Wow.

Also, I did 119 blog posts in 2018 and 149 in 2017??? That is A LOT. I’m guessing that’s because of Slice of Life and/or some other daily blogging challenges.

Here are my five most popular posts written this year:

And here are some posts I wrote this year that I wish were more popular:

Older posts that are more popular than anything I’ve written this year:

Book reviews have staying power, apparently.

This year has been a trip. I can’t even explain why I wrote so few blog posts. Probably because I kept missing my weekly check-in posts and then getting behind which made it harder to then catch up. So I’m going to do better about keeping up with those next year since they seem to be most important to my actual blogging productivity.

I have a blog post about a cozy mystery love triangle that still gets lots of views years later!

Hmm…I never thought of doing a yearly blog checkup. Maybe, at the end of this year.
