Apparently, the trend is to do top-three lists. It looks like it started with WOWilkinson, so I’m just going to riff off of the lists I’ve seen since I’m at the wall with posts ideas. Directions from the original post:
When we’re looking for writing topics, sometimes I ask my students to make top-three lists. As many as they can. Top-three cereals, songs, movies, vacation destinations, holidays, whatever.
1. Cereals – Frosted Mini Wheats (Little Bites), Post Banana Nut Crunch, Honey Nut Cheerios
2. Most Recent Songs Added on Spotify – “Tender Love” by Force M.D.’s, “I Don’t Wanna” by Aaliyah, “I Get Lonely” by Janet Jackson
3. Movies Watched So Far This Year – American Fiction, The Book of Clarence, Turning Red

Slice of Life is a writing challenge hosted by Two Writing Teachers.
4. Holidays – Christmas, Thanksgiving, 4th of July (I don’t know why for the last one. I can’t remember the last time I went to see fireworks or to a cookout or anything)
5. Months – June, December, March
6. Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavors – Phish Food, Chunky Monkey, Peanut Butter Cup
7. Authors I Want to Meet – Jaclyn Moriarty, Sara Zarr, Katherine Applegate
8. Fiction Books I Read Last Year by Authors I’ve Never Read Before – Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers by Jesse Q. Sutanto, Upstate by Kalisha Buckhanan (Chadwick Boseman is one of the narrators!), Thieves’ Gambit by Kayvion Lewis
9. Psych Episodes – American Duos, Scary Sherry: Bianca’s Toast, Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark
10. Superheroes – Batman, Wonder Woman, Storm

I am glad you joined the list makers and added new possible topics. 🙂
It was fun!
Thanks for sharing. I’m a big Psych fan, but I’m not sure I could narrow it down to a top-three episode list. I wonder if you could also list top-three nicknames for Gus. I know MagicHead would have to be on the list
Ooh, Gus nicknames is an awesome idea!
